Microbiological analysis
The following services are offered and performed by microbiologists certified by the AMQ (Association of Microbiologists of Quebec) and by the CCM (Canadian College of Microbiologists):
- Implementation of in-house microbiological testing including sampling of
food, water and surfaces.
- Advice on the microbiological analysis to be performed (microorganisms to be tested, selection of the analysis method and sampling plan) and interpretation of the results according to the MAPAQ, Health Canada and other recognized references.
- Investigation of the source of microbiological contamination of a food product and development of a corrective and preventive action plan.
- Shelf life study.
- Implementation of the Listeria policy.
- The validation of microorganism destruction treatments (pasteurization, sterilization, cooking, high pressure ...)
- The validation of critical control points such as cooling, pH ...
- The development of challenge test protocol.
